     Dorothy Stacy was born and brought up in Utica, New York where she lived for the first half of her life. She now lives in Sauquoit
in a 200 year old farmhouse on 4 acres of land. Her husband, John L. Stacy III, passed away on Dec. 7, 2009. She is the mother of eight children and has 22  grandchildren. She has been writing all her life. She was  an elementary school teacher for fourteen years in the Utica Catholic Schools before she retired in 2006. This is her 7th career. She started out as a mail girl for Retail Credit Company, was a Bank Teller at Oneida National Bank, made and sold quilted items, was a mother, an elementary school teacher,       and now an Author and Publisher, etc. She is the Author of the  Erie                  Dorothy Stacy
Canal Cousins Series that include:
